Monday, May 20th Events

11:30am – Luncheon with Faculty . All graduates are invited to join the faculty and the President on the Haddon/Klein Patio .

1:30pm – Commencement Rehearsal will be held on the Chapel lawn. All graduates who intend to participate in commencement are expected to attend rehearsal.

3:00pm – Community Celebration. (More Information to Come)

Tuesday, May 21

Commencement 201 9 will take place at 8:30am on the Chapel lawn.

7:30am – Robing of graduates, Mudd Theater lobby

8:00am – Class picture, Mudd Theater south stairs

8:15am – Procession line -up, south side of Library

8:30am – Procession begins

10:30am – Commencement Reception, Library Lawn. A reception for all graduates and their families will be held immediately following Commencement. All rental regalia must be returned to Huntley Bookstore immediately following the commencement ceremony reception .

Graduates who do not return their regalia will be charged the replacement cost of the regalia by the Huntley Bookstore.

Instructions For Graduating Students

In order to receive your diploma at the commencement ceremony, you must complete the ATS Survey, the Financial Aid exit interview (if required) and be cleared by the Business Office no later than Friday, May 1 0, 201 9 . If you miss the deadline, you will be able to pick up your diploma from the Office of the Registrar after you complete all the requirements.

Graduation Fee

All graduates are required to pay the graduation fee even if they are not participating in the commencement ceremony. The fee is $90 for Master’s level students and $290 for Doctoral level students , ($90 plus $200 for the processing of the DMin Project or PhD Dissertation) . Graduation fees must be paid directly to the Business Office.

Business Office Clearance

Your student account must be paid in full no later than Friday, May 1 0, 201 9. This includes payment of all graduation, housing, tuition and fees, book cards and library fines.

Financial Aid Clearance

Graduates who borrowed student loans while attending CST are required by law to have a Financial Aid exit interview. Contact the Office of Financial Aid at cstfinaid@cst.edu or at 909 -447 -2554 for more information or to schedule an appointment.

ATS Survey

Graduates are required to complete an Association of Theological Schools (ATS) Graduating Student Survey before commencement. Completion of this survey will give us vital information on the CST student experience. The survey can be accessed via this link https://qwizard.ats.edu/default.aspx?bid=1564dfbd -d63b – 48a 8 -98e4 -cfe3cbbb9446 If you choose to take the survey anonymously, you must print the confirmation page of the ATS survey and submit it to the Office of the Registrar.

Academic Regalia

All commencement ceremony participants are required to obtain their academic regalia through the Huntley Bookstore. The rental deadline is March 12, 2019 . The rental fee is $55.85 for Master’s and $65.70 for Doctor’s. Cap and Gown Rental Order forms may be obtained from the Huntley Bookstore (175 E. Eighth Street, Claremont, CA. 91711) and must be turned into the bookstore by the deadline. Do not return order forms to the Office of the Registrar. Students wishing to purchase regalia should contact Susan Navarro at the Huntley Bookstore (909 -607 -1503 or Susan.Navarro@claremont.edu) no later than March 12, 2019. If you purchase your hood or full regalia, you must bring the hood to the Office of the Registrar no later than May 10, 2019 .

Final Transcripts

Degrees will be posted on transcripts the week following graduation. Graduates can submit Transcript Request forms prior to graduation and have them processed after the degree has been posted.
