Congratulations to this year’s Distinguished Alumni/ae Award honorees. We are proud of the love and justice each of our alumni/ae expresses in the world. Indeed, graduates of CST are the embodiment of hope in a world rife with division.

For our Distinguished Alumni/ae Award, we seek nominations from alumni/ae, faculty, and staff to find people living the mission and values of CST – people who are agents of transformation and healing in churches, local communities, schools, nonprofit institutions, and the world at large, and who work to create peaceful coexistence and collaboration with other cultures and religions.

This year, we were moved not just by the work of the alumni/ae nominated but also by their hearts, their ingenuity, and their compassion. So much so, that we created a new award: The Distinguished Alumni/ae Collaborative Ministry Award. The inaugural winners of this new award are Rev. Jose “Al” Lopez, Rev. Nora Jacobs, and Rev. Stephen Patten for their collaborative ministry UrbanMission Pomona; in addition, our Distinguished Alumni/ae awardees are Rev. Steve Horswill-Johnston and Rev. Dr. Dottie Escobedo-Frank. These five people are certainly agents of transformation and healing.
