Recognizing and affirming the diversity of Southern California and today\u2019s world, the Center seeks to provide education and encourage communication within and across religious affiliations, ideological bases, and cultural contexts.<\/p><p>The program was established in 1995 as \u201cThe Center for Sexuality and Christian Life.\u201d In 2011, the name was changed to reflect the broader context in which issues of sexuality and gender are currently explored by scholars affiliated with the Center and with Claremont School of Theology.<\/p><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-2\"><p>Claremont School of Theology was selected in 2012 as one of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.religiousinstitute.org\/seminary\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">twenty most sexually healthy and responsible seminaries<\/a>\u00a0by the Religious Institute.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/cst.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/lgbtqia-resources.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>LGBTQIA Resource Guide<\/strong><\/a> (pdf)<\/p><p>This guide was put together by students Alex Stepansky, Sheri Kling, Sally Burton, and Dara Joy Daworowicz for a class project.<\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-781ebe7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-video\" data-id=\"781ebe7\"
