Claremont School of Theology is excited for the inaugural Cal-Pac celebration of Claremont Sunday on Sunday, February 22nd. Congregations throughout Cal-Pac are encouraged to use this Sunday to mark the role between the annual conference and its seminary, as well as the vital role that congregations play in nurturing the next generation of leaders for the church.
Several resources have been created to assist congregations in their celebration of Claremont Sunday.
A simple black and white bulletin insert with basic information on CST and Claremont Sunday is available for download here.
For congregations that make use of overhead projection for worship, a short set of PowerPoint slides are available for download here.
A special pastoral prayer for Claremont Sunday has been composed by a CST student in partnership with United Methodist faculty. A PDF version of that prayer can be downloaded here.
A short informational video of 2-5 minutes in length is being produced for showing on Claremont Sunday. The video will be made available by February 16th. To place your order please send an email to Lorraine Ceniceros at firstname.lastname@example.org. Include your name, the name of the church, and the address.
Special envelopes will be made available at no-charge to participating congregations. To place your order please send an email to Lorraine Ceniceros at email@example.com. Include your name, the name of the church, the address and the number of envelopes required. You will receive the envelopes the week prior to Claremont Sunday.
Preachers/Speakers Still Available
There are still limited opportunities available for CST students and faculty to visit your congregation on Claremont Sunday. Visiting faculty and students are available to preach or to speak briefly (2-5 minutes) about CST and its educational service mission. All student speakers/preachers have completed a Homiletics class and come with the recommendation of the faculty.
If you would like a student or faculty member to preach or speak, please contact Wendy Lee, Vice President for Advancement, as soon as possible at firstname.lastname@example.org or (909) 447-2535.
