A Joint Statement from the Presidents of Claremont School of Theology and Bayan Claremont:

We are saddened and dismayed by the recent killing of more than 60 Palestinians and the injuring of hundreds more by the Israeli military, and we are appalled by the worldwide, and especially US, failure to oppose such indiscriminate violence and to demand accountability. We lament that the policies of our present government are not contributing to peaceful outcomes, particularly in that region of the world, and we mourn alongside the families of those who have unjustly lost their lives. We condemn every form of violence, believing all people are of sacred worth; and, we support those who are working constructively to build peace. Further, we pray that a just and humanitarian pathway emerges to restore the blessings of the Holy Land for all of God’s people.
