“Punish a Muslim Day” letters were sent to people throughout England earlier this month, and various news outlets are reporting that it has now been making its way across the United States and other countries. The letter proclaims April 3, 2018 as a day to harm Arabs and Muslims, or anyone suspected of being Arab or Muslim – even awarding points for deplorable actions. CST condemns every form of violence, racism, and Islamophobia. We believe all people are of sacred worth, and we stand in solidarity with our sister institution, Bayan Claremont, and with Muslims and Arabs in our families, our communities, and around the world. Further we support the efforts of those who have proposed to counter this hate with love in a campaign titled #LoveAMuslimDay.
