CST deeply appreciates any and all gifts! If you are in the position to give a significant gift, we invite you to consider directing your gift to the following needs and naming options:

1. Remote Distance Learning Classroom ($10,000): With your gift of $10,000, you can help write the next chapter in our CST story of equipping pastors, community leaders, and scholars to create a more just and compassionate world. Your gift will fund one of our new Digital Learning Classrooms – a space expertly designed to inspire learning for students and instructors, both in-person and online – which will play an important role in the future of teaching and learning at CST. The latest generation of Zoom Room-ready televisions, such as the D7X model that we are purchasing for our classrooms, deliver a higher quality experience than the previous generation of constructed Zoom Rooms. Our new equipment will simplify the Zoom experience by adding tools like touch-screen enabled whiteboards and Smart Gallery framing of in-person users that not only improve everyone’s experience of their time together – whether virtual or in-person – but also open the door to an emerging field of creative innovations in course design and online learning. We’re continuing to push the envelope for facilitating theological education and formation in a digital age and are humbled to have you as partners in this exciting work. 

2. Digital Donor Wall ($6000): With your gift of $6000, you or your organization’s name will be permanently featured for all of our guests at our new offices in Los Angeles. Traditional donor walls are expensive and often made of engraved metal plaques, acrylic with vinyl or etched lettering, glass, or other material-based components. CST’s electronic donor wall can tell the stories of our school and community for a fraction of the cost, allowing messages to be updated at any time. CST enjoys the support of many givers. Help us show how we are supported by your gift. 

3. Our monument sign ($8000): First impressions are important. CST has a new exterior sign outside of our offices in Los Angeles on the campus of Westwood United Methodist Church. It helps us announce our presence in the Westwood area (and is simply required to conduct business). The sign was installed in late February without donor assistance. Will you help us underwrite the cost of designing, installing, and obtaining city permits? 

4. Housing for our students ($1,000/per student): Housing in Los Angeles is some of the most expensive in the U.S. Our students–especially our international students–are burdened with the extreme expense of renting an apartment, or staying in a hotel, for their required short-term visits and classes. Your gift of $1000 will house one student for a week’s long in-person class. And if you are able to house multiple students, please consider doing so!
