Mission Statement

The mission of the Committee on Diversity and Inclusion (CODI) is to promote and encourage inclusion, diversity, and full participation of all persons in all aspects of Claremont’s campus life and culture.

The purpose of the Committee is to insure that Claremont School of Theology (CST) seeks, in all areas of its life, to achieve the highest standards of inclusiveness. CST is committed to providing an educational experience that is responsive to a global community.

The role of CODI includes the recommendations of goals and the support of initiatives to utilize Claremont’s diversity – academic, cultural, and spiritual – which is present among staff, administration, faculty, students, alumni/ae, and trustees.

The Committee on Diversity and Inclusion is a committee authorized by the Board of Trustees and is appointed by the President of the School of Theology.
