Sites For Supervised Ministry and Other Internships

Thank you for your interest in the supervised ministry and internship programs at Claremont School of Theology. The placement process always involves making a match between a student’s interests and abilities, and a particular context for ministry and service. The School expects that the congregation or other organization will offer:

  • Opportunities for a student to learn and participate, at a level appropriate to graduate education.
  • Willingness to work with the student’s growing abilities.
  • An on-site supervisor who meets weekly with the intern for reflection.
  • The supervisor participates in an orientation and one or two consultations per year (1-2 hours each, by videoconference).
  • The supervisor submits a written evaluation at the end of each semester.
  • A stipend or expense compensation is recommended.
