CST Alum Rev. Antonio Gallardo Elected First Latino Bishop of LA Diocese

CST alum Rev. Antonio Gallardo was elected the first Latino bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles at their 130th annual meeting on November 8. 2025. Gallardo will be succeeding Bishop John Harvey Taylor, another distinguished graduate of Claremont School of Theology.
“It is a remarkable blessing to see two of our alumni serving consecutively in episcopal leadership within the Diocese of Los Angeles,” said CST Co-President Kah-Jin Jeffrey Kuan. He continued, “it is a true testament to the continuing impact of CST’s mission to prepare transformative leaders for the Church and the world.”
