CST’s Response to the Fires on Maui

Our hearts bleed for the people, churches, and all of life in Maui after the devastating fires that destroyed so much.  Our prayers continue for the survivors who lost almost everything, especially those who have lost loved ones during the most destructive fire in Hawaii’s history.  We also pray for one of our alum, Pastor John Crewe, who is the appointed pastor of Lahaina United Methodist Church, and his family.  Tragically, the church and the parsonage were completely destroyed during the fire.  We are grateful that Pastor John and his wife are now safe in a shelter.  We were not the only ones who lost church buildings, as the oldest church in Maui and the Buddhist church were also lost.
