Flexible Professional Development for Teachers

Claremont School of Theology (CST) offers a remotely accessible Master of Arts track in Education in collaboration with Yalong Investment Group, LLC. This program is tailored for K-12 educators seeking to enhance their professional skills and advance their teaching careers. Designed for flexibility, the program combines the expertise of leading scholars from CST and around the globe, providing a comprehensive approach to educational pedagogies, philosophies, culture, and leadership.

Courses are delivered through a variety of modalities, including synchronous and asynchronous online sessions, as well as intensive in-person experiences in both the U.S. and China. Select courses may also be offered in Chinese, further broadening accessibility for participants.

In an increasingly interconnected world, the role of educators is pivotal in shaping students into global citizens who can navigate complex and evolving realities. Teachers foster the holistic development of students, preparing them to become future leaders who will drive transformation in their communities and beyond.

This program bridges diverse educational traditions from the East and West, and the global North and South, integrating the most valuable pedagogies, philosophies, and cultural insights from around the world. Our Master’s degree equips educators with the tools and perspectives needed to thrive in today’s dynamic educational landscape and contribute meaningfully to the global enterprise of learning and leadership.

Curriculum

Our innovative collaboration gives students access to study with expert faculty at CST and other adjunct specialists in their fields. 

The Master of Arts track in Education is comprised of the following 48-credit, 16-course program, each of which counts for three credits. 

Core Courses – 12 credits (covering ethics, intercultural studies, philosophy, and research methodologies)

Track Courses – 12 credits (covering different aspects of education)

Track Electives – 21 credits

Summative Exercise – 3 credits

A particular area of focus may be chosen in consultation with the student’s faculty advisor.
